United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County is proud to be the official volunteer centre in our community. We are one of 200 Volunteer Centres across Canada, with the goal to promote, strengthen, and enhance volunteerism.
United Way promotes volunteerism in all of the programs we support. We also provide resources and support to ensure that volunteers are available to the not-for-profit sector in our community through our Volunteer Centre.

Volunteers play a large role in decision-making and problem-solving at United Way. United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County has a volunteer Board of Directors and many committees which guide our work. By engaging a diverse group of volunteer leaders from many parts of the community, our work is strengthened and supported.
United Way also has special opportunities for youth, young professionals and seniors to become more involved, including our Emerging Philanthropists program and our Retiree Volunteer Council.
