The Volunteer Centre of United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County is one of 200 volunteer centres in Canada and provides the general public with opportunities for volunteering and training, and information on issues facing the voluntary sector.
The Volunteer Centre takes a lead role in promoting volunteerism in Windsor and Essex County.
Services offered include:
- Management consulting on volunteer programs
- Recruiting and referral of volunteers to community agencies and organizations
- Training volunteers and managers of volunteers
- Advocacy on issues related to volunteerism and volunteer programs
